[origin: EP1537795A2] The sleeveless jacket has a safety strap system fastened to it, which incorporates a chest strap. The system is mainly located inside the jacket, and the chest strap is fastened to it detachable pref. via loops. The chest strap is connected to a seat part (9) via a back strap (33) with thigh straps (10), and is connected via padded shoulder straps (32) to the jacket via the loops. An anchor bracket is fastened at the connection point between shoulder and back straps and projects through an aperture in the jacket back. The bracket is fastened to the jacket back via a loop and press studs, which release automatically when subjected to traction. A recovery loop is formed on the back in the neck area, and an inflatable buoyancy aid is also located in this area.
