Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1537811A1] Process for applying a supporting substrate on the wall of a bath or shower tray comprises filling the inner chamber (16) of a molded part (14) sealed against the mold (10) on its upper edge with a medium, and holding the plastic foamed components under a pressure during the reaction time. The pressure can be adjusted to the pressure produced on the plastic components and acting on the wall of the molded part. Preferred Features: The medium is introduced via a cooling device to remove and deviate heat flowing into the molded part from the process. The medium is pre-heated to a temperature so that pressure fluctuations produced by changing the temperature of the medium are reduced. The medium is air, water or noble gas.
