[origin: EP1538271A2] The container, especially as a workroom, comprises a base container (1) with at least one side wall (5) hinging around a horizontal pivot point (51). At least one extension element (20) is extendable from the base container and open at the top, whereby in the extended state the roof of the extension element is formed by the hinged side wall of the base container. For the lowering and raising of an extension element a lifting device (55) acts upon the hinged side wall of the base container.
