[origin: EP1538289A1] The central locking mechanism has a handle on the door panel connected through a shaft to a coupling disc (3) which has a fixed toothed segment which engages in a toothed rack mounted displaceable on the door panel and in which the output gearwheel of a gearwheel drive (10) engages. The drive gear wheel of the drive is driven by an electric motor (11) which can be switched on and off from a central control device. An electric end switch or sensor can be mounted in the region of the bolt element to generate an electric signal characterising the position of the bolt element.
