[origin: EP1538407A2] The device has parallel heat exchanger tubes (15) carrying a coolant flow in several stages (Stufe 1, Stufe 2), two collection tubes (3,5) divided by separating walls (7) to produce the stages and a collector (4) approximately parallel to the heat exchanger tubes. A transfer line (10) from one stage to the inlet or outlet opening of the collector extends transversely slightly over an adjacent stage. The other collector inlet or outlet opening is approximately at or near the end of the collector tube or to pas coolant into the adjacent stage.
