[origin: WO2004029351A2] Laundry spin-dryers (10) for commercial laundries are conventionally only able to remove less water from the washed laundry than is possible with laundry mangles. Laundry mangles can not be applied to all kinds of laundry, thus delicate laundry has to be inadequately dried in conventional spin-dryers (10). A spin-dryer (10) is disclosed which permits the drying of laundry to the same degree as in a washing mangle. A rotating drum (11) in the spin dryer (10) is driven at such a speed that the laundry within the drum (11) is subjected to a centrifugal force at least 600 times greater than gravity.
