[origin: WO2004027936A1] The invention relates to an electric connecting device that is characterised as follows: a current or data supply device, which can be connected to at least one current or impulse supply source, is located in a supply housing and comprises contact elements. A current or data tapping device, which can be electrically connected to a consumer, is located in a tapping housing and has contact elements. A current, impulse or data transfer between the contact elements that are configured as flat contacts with touching surfaces, can be effected by connecting the current or data supply device to the current or data tapping device. A plurality of contact elements of at least one of the two devices are arranged next to one another in grid formation. The contact elements in grid formation are elastically mounted and said formation lies against a contact bridge.
