A hammer drill (1) has a tool socket (2) and a housing (4) containing a motor with a crank drive linked to a plunger. The motor is activated by an external switch and a mode selector switch. The rotary cam drive and the and hand hold are mechanically de-coupled from each other.

Ein Bohrhammer (1) mit einer Werkzeugaufnahme (2) für ein Bohr- und/oder Meisselwerkzeug weist in einem Gehäuse (4) angeordnet einen Drehantrieb (3), ein Schlagwerk (5) und ein Getriebe (6) auf, die vom Gehäuse (4) vibrationsentkoppelt sind. Mittels eines, an der Aussenseite (9) des Gehäuses (4) angeordneten Betätigungselementes (11) wird ein Schaltelement (8) betätigt und die Betriebszustände des Bohrhammers (1), wie beispielsweise Meisseln, Hammerbohren und/oder Bohren, eingestellt. Das Betätigungselement (11) weist ein mit dem Schaltelement (8) in Eingriff stehendes Excenterteil (12) und ein Griffteil (13) auf, wobei das Excenterteil (12) und das Griffteil (13) voneinander entkoppelt sind und miteinander in Wirkverbindung bringbare Wirkflächen aufweisen. <IMAGE>
