Device for separating a material sheet (1) comprises a movable separating element (2) with a drive arranged perpendicularly to the material sheet. The separating element is clamped and suspended in a working form by tensile forces. Preferred Features: The separating element has a coating supporting the separating process and a length corresponding to at least the width of the material sheet. The separating element is arranged at an adjustable angle to the running direction of the material sheet.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Trennen einer Materialbahn (1) mit einem zur Materialbahn (1) quer angeordneten bewegbaren Trennelement (2), das einen Antrieb (9) aufweist. Sie ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Trennelement (2) durch eine Zugkraft in eine Arbeitsform gespannt und aufgehängt ist. <IMAGE>
