Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1541300A2] The device (1) cuts a length of material (B) moving at a speed (VB), into sections of set length. It has a cutting roller (2) with an angular velocity (w) for cutting, adaptable to the speed of the material length. The roller speed can be accelerated and/or delayed between two subsequent cuts. The material is cut along pre-set lines, located between lines of an accessory material, esp. glue (3), which are raised relative to the material plane in direction of the cutting roller. The device is for use in a window glueing station of an envelope fabrication machine, and the material length is of window material. The cutting roller has several cutting knives evenly distributed over its circumference.
