Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1541730A1] A weaving loom has a rapier (10) in rack and pinion tangential reversible contact with a drive wheel (16), and a two-part (22a, 22b) pneumatic guide (20) straddling the contact point. The guide units from an air cushion bearing with the rapier. The air cushion bearings are each located within a symmetrical spherical housing with a porous air inlet zone. The porosity is adjustable.
