Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1541762A1] Following a papermaking process one or more mechanical parameters are monitored at two different points astride the discharging web. The parameters measured are e.g. linear forces (F) or an equivalent dimension, squeeze force or web tension. The parameters measures at one point are used as a corrective feedback regulation value at an upstream work station. Further processes measured may include winding harness, web tension at individual winding stations, smoothness, thickness, modulus of elasticity, density per unit area, thickness etc. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly.
