Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004030483A2] The invention relates to two congruently snappable half-shells (4, 5) which can be combined so as to form an eyelet, particularly for trimming a hole (3) of a textile material (1) or similar. The two half-shells (4, 5) forming an eyelet (6) mutually engage in a locking manner on both sides. One of the two half-shells (4, 5) comprises a plurality of spikes (17) in the area of the separation plane (E-E) thereof, the tips (19) of said spikes (17) dipping into a circular ring channel (18) of the other half-shell (5). A torsional stop is created between the two half-shells (4, 5) with simple means while maintaining the advantageous basic spikes/ring channel principle by providing the two half-shells (4, 5) with a peripheral contour that deviates from the circular one, said contour comprising at least one tongue (23) which extends outward in a radial manner from the center (x-x). One of the half-shells (4) encompasses a spike (24) in the area of the tongue (23) end while the other half-shell (5) encompasses an associated plug-in cavity (26).
