[origin: WO2004028365A2] The invention relates to a method and a device for determining a sleep profile. At least one signal is detected by at least three electrodes and fed to an evaluation device. The signal detection is related to mixed signals having fractions of EEG-signals, EOG-signals and EMG-signals. A first electrode is arranged in the region of the forehead of the person, a second electrode is arranged in the lateral region below an eye and a third electrode is positioned on the neck area of the person. The signals are subjected to program-controlled signal processing by an evaluation device.
