[origin: WO2004028752A1] The invention relates to a tool holding fixture, particularly for a hammer drill or chisel hammer, comprising a holding body (14) provided with: an insertion opening (16) for holding a tool shank (12); a locking element (22) for axially locking the tool shank (12) inside the insertion opening (16), whereby the locking element (22) can move between a locking position and an unlocking position, and; an arresting pin (36), which is mounted inside the locking element (22) while being able to be radially displaced between an arresting position and a release position. Said arresting pin axially arrests the locking element (22) in the arresting position thereof and axially releases it in the release position thereof.
