Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1543925A2] The operating unit is connected to a power drive, with support foot for torque pick-up, and a pref. square power take-off for bits/connectors. The unit housing (8) is cylindrical and contains an electric motor, with stator, rotor, and a ventilator positioned coaxial to the cylinder. An integral hand grip (9) formed e.g. like a piston grip, projects radially from the end of the housing opposite to the power drive (3). A box (10) for an electronic control system is also mounted on the housing. A free grip space (11) is formed between hand grip and box. The housing consists of two semi-shells (8a,b) of precision-cast aluminum.
