Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1544109A1] The procedure, in which tyres (P) of the same dimensions are aligned, compressed and held under tension while straps are applied, is performed by machine with rotating rollers (200, 201) to align tyres. After alignment the rollers are halted and tyres compressed by compression plates (300, 301), and held under tension while fastening straps are fitted with the aid of guide rails. The procedure, in which tyres (P) of the same dimensions are aligned, compressed and held under tension while straps are applied, is performed by machine with rotating rollers (200, 201) to align tyres, at least one of the rollers being driven. After alignment the rollers are halted and tyres compressed by 10-15% by compression plates (300, 301) with low friction surface coatings or rollers, and held under tension while plastic or metal fastening straps are fitted with the aid of guide rails.
