Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1544147A2] Spring wire (36) is fitted in a groove (35) in the splicing block (19) at an angle to the splicing channel (20). During the splicing process the yarn ends (31, 32) to be spliced are clamped between a cover (23) and the spring wire (36). The replaceable spring wire (36) is situated some distance from the bottom (27) of the splicing channel (20) and has a much smaller section than the splicing channel.
