The radial pump, especially a cooling medium pump for an internal combustion engine has at least one first group (5) of impeller blades (6) pivotable around axes (9) parallel to the impeller axis. The group of pivotable impeller blades is located in the region of the flow outlet (22). The group of pivotable impeller blades are automatically pivotable in dependence upon the rotational speed. The pivotable blades are pivot-mounted in the region of the flow outlet side ends of fixed impeller blades (4).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Radialpumpe, insbesondere Kühlmittelpumpe für eine Brennkraftmaschine, mit zumindest einer ersten Gruppe (5) von um Achsen (9) parallel zur Laufradachse (1a) schwenkbaren Laufschaufeln (6). Um den Wirkungsgrad zu erhöhen ist vorgesehen, dass die Gruppe (5) von schwenkbaren Laufschaufeln (6) im Bereich des Strömungsaustrittes (22) des Laufrades (1) angeordnet ist, wobei der Gruppe (5) von schwenkbaren Laufschaufeln (6) eine Gruppe (3) mit dem Laufrad (1) fest verbundenen starren Laufschaufeln (4) vorgelagert ist. <IMAGE>
