[origin: EP1544474A2] The radial pump, especially a cooling medium pump for an internal combustion engine has at least one first group (5) of impeller blades (6) pivotable around axes (9) parallel to the impeller axis. The group of pivotable impeller blades is located in the region of the flow outlet (22). The group of pivotable impeller blades are automatically pivotable in dependence upon the rotational speed. The pivotable blades are pivot-mounted in the region of the flow outlet side ends of fixed impeller blades (4).
