Abstract (en)
The sound-absorbing flat layer of plastics foam material (1) may be covered with a polyurethane foil (2) impervious to air, oil and water. The flat rear side of the foam may be adhered to the wall of the engine housing. There is a pattern of projections (1a-1a'') and depressions (1b,1c) on the front side. The foil on the front side adheres to the projections (2a). It is stretched across the depressions (2b) leaving spaces (3) underneath and has a thickness of 20-100 mu.

Bei einem schallabsorbierenden, schichtförmigen Schaumstoffmaterial, dessen dem Schalleinfall zugewandte Oberfläche mit Erhöhungen und Vertiefungen versehen ist, wird über dieses Oberflächenprofil eine Folie derart gespannt, dass sie im Bereich der Erhöhungen am Schaumstoffmaterial anliegt und in einem Abstand über den Vertiefungen verläuft.
