Abstract (en)
A system and method for proactively managing a network (200) is disclosed. The method includes aggregating and consolidating inputs into real or potential service events (410) and applying service policy for determining impact of the events and annotating the events (430). The method also includes determining the availability of an automated corrective action for the events (430). In addition, the method includes generating service level trouble tickets (550) and dispatching the events to a service level manager (560) for performing business-related activities. Additionally, when automated corrective action is deemed to be available, the method includes dispatching an activation subsystem to implement the corrective action (560). <IMAGE>
