Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2844703A1] Device for treating presbyopia by surgical implantation into the ciliary sulcus behind the iris comprises a closed tubular envelope (1) made of fluid-impermeable elastic material in the form of a ring or part of a ring whose inner wall (11) defines a lumen (12) to be filled with an incompressible fluid to increase its outside diameter (20) to compensate for loss of tension in the zonular fibers. Device for treating an ocular disorder associated with a decrease in the amplitude of accommodation of the eye due to loss of tension in the zonular fibers caused by an increase in diameter of the crystalline lens, by surgical implantation into the ciliary sulcus behind the iris to compensate for the loss of tension in the zonular fibers by exerting a diameter-increasing pressure on the ciliary sulcus, comprises a closed tubular envelope (1) made of fluid-impermeable elastic material in the form of a ring or part of a ring whose inner wall (11) defines a lumen (12) to be filled with an incompressible fluid to increase its outside diameter (20) to compensate for the loss of tension in the zonular fibers.
