[origin: EP1352688A1] A miniaturized carrier, for the movement and analysis of a liquid sample, has a lower plate with a channel (14) cut into its upper surface to hold the sample. It is covered by the under surface of an upper plate, with at least one opening into the channel. The two plates are locked together in a sealed fit by a number of rivets around the channel, with their projecting studs from the upper plate fitting into holes in the lower plate.
