[origin: WO2004033130A1] The invention relates to a sealing plate (11) for the lateral sealing (10) of a casting gap, formed between two casting rollers of a strip casting machine, for application in a retainer frame (12) which cooperates with an adjuster (13). The sealing plate (11) is coated on the sealing side (11 a) thereof, at least in the region reaching the front faces of the casting rollers, with a material having good wear resistance and sliding properties. The costs of said lateral sealing (10) can thus be reduced.
