[origin: WO2004030981A1] The invention relates to a headrest arrangement for the seat of a motor vehicle, comprising a backrest frame for the back of a seat extending along a longitudinal direction of the back; an upper edge of the backrest frame which upwardly defines in an upright functional position in the longitudinal direction of the back; a headrest arranged on the backrest frame in the longitudinal direction of the back above the upper edge; a device for adjusting the height of the body of the headrest by modifying the position of the body of the headrest in relation to the upper edge of the backrest; and a device for adjusting the head support, enabling the headrest to be raised in the event of a crash and to be pivoted about a virtual pivoting axis in order to move the body of the headrest towards the head of a passenger of the vehicle. According to the invention, the pivoting axis (1) is located at the same level as the upper edge of the backrest frame (5) or above the upper edge (O) during the entire crash-induced movement of adjustment of the headrest (1).
