[origin: WO2004028874A1] The invention relates to a fixing arrangement for the windscreen wiper (20) of a motor vehicle comprising at least one bearing bracket out-feed (22) used for guiding and fixing a rotatable driving shaft (24) which is provided with a flange (32) for attaching said bearing bracket out feed (22) to a vehicle body (30). Said flange (32) comprises a threaded portion (46) of the vertical axis A which interacts with a nut (54) provided with an internal clamping annular surface (54i) for fixing the flange (32) to the structural element of the body (30). Said invention is characterised in that the nut (54) can be divided into at least two parts (56, 58) when the windscreen wiper (20) is exposed to a violent impact whose vertical component is oriented downwards and is greater than a predetermined value, thereby making it possible to release the flange (32) from the structural element of the body (30).
