[origin: WO2004034129A1] The invention relates to a method for production of a lens (2), in particular for spectacles, whereby central imaging errors of an eye (1) for correction of a person with defective vision, such as sphere, cylinder and axis are compensated for. At least one refractive surface (9,10) of the lens (2) is embodied such that for at least one viewing direction, both a dioptric correction of the defective vision occurs as well as a correction of imaging errors of a higher order. The effects on acuity and/or visual contrast depend on the size of the pupil opening (5) of the eye (1) for correction and are corrected by the lens (2).
