Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1548168A2] A continuous fabric (W) is treated with a mixture of liquid and steam applied through jets (7, 8) as the fabric runs over rollers (29, 30). The liquid is drained into a tray (1) and recycled by a pump (6). The fabric initially runs through the tray (1) on the, first roller (29) before proceeding to the second roller (30). Steam is introduced into the liquid by a steam injector (11). An independent claim is also included for the corresponding equipment, using at least one of the applicators (7, 8). A valve (10) allows one applicator (8) to be shut off.
