[origin: EP1548366A2] The door hinge (2) for the door of a domestic appliance has two sections (3,4) which are pivotable in relation to one another within a pivot angle range between a minimum and a maximum angle. The hinge has an additional functional unit (5) which is connected to both hinge sections and which can occupy at least two functioning positions. At least one predetermined functioning position of the functional component is clearly associated with a predetermined pivoting angle between the hinge sections. An independent claim is included for a domestic appliance, and especially an oven, freezer, refrigerator, dish washer or washing machine, which has a door equipped with the aforesaid hinge.
