[origin: WO2004040939A2] The invention relates to a method for simulating a movement in a pre-determined direction in relation to a reference point (P) in the vicinity of an acoustic reproduction device, said method comprising the following steps: a) an acoustic reproduction device is provided for producing at least two virtual sound sources; and b) the acoustic reproduction device is controlled by means of a control unit which is used to repeatedly and successively displace the at least two virtual sound sources (VS A, VS B, VS C, VS D) from a pre-determined starting point (SP) to a pre-determined end point (EP) and then rapidly back to the starting point (SP). A direction of displacement (B) of the at least two virtual sound sources (VS A, VS B, VS C, VS D) coincides with the direction of the movement to be simulated. The invention also relates to a sound reproduction arrangement for carrying out said method.
