[origin: EP1552859A1] The extinguisher has a bottle (4) containing extinguishing agent (6), and a pressurized gas generating unit (16) connected to the bottle such that the pressurized gas penetrates into the bottle when the agent is ejected on a fire zone (12). A pressure regulating unit (18) regulates the pressure created by the gas, in the bottle and maintains in the bottle, a pressure difference of 10 percent of ambient value, over a certain period.
