Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1553254A2] Motor-driven scissor-type assembly (3) for actuating a pivot-hung or top-hung leaf (1) of a window comprises a housing (12) for fixing on the inner surface (2) of the window frame, a first scissor element (4) hinged at one end on the leaf and at the other end on the housing, and a second scissor element (13) hinged at one end on the housing and at the other end on the first scissor element and having a control curve (16) in which a drive pin (19) engages. The drive pin is connected to a motor-driven drive element (17), especially a connecting rod and/or a spindle nut of a spindle drive. A locking plate with a locking opening open on one side is mounted on the leaf. A locking pin (21) protruding freely outward from the housing has on its free end an engaging head (23) that in a closed position engages in a locking manner in the locking opening of the locking plate. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a process for actuating a pivot-hung or top-hung leaf of a window.
