[origin: WO2004037147A1] Disclosed is a nursing bed comprising a height-adjustable base inside which a rotary hinge is mounted in a largely embedded manner. Said rotary hinge connects the base to an intermediate frame on which the horizontal frame is mounted, whereby a bed frame having a very low structural height is created when the height of prop legs is deducted such that the distance of the upper edge of the mattress from the floor corresponds to the length of the lower leg in the lowest position while there is some clearance between the bottom of the base and the floor.
