[origin: WO2004038158A1] The invention relates to a high-speed lightweight rolling or folding overhead door comprising flexible hangings made of plastic film, monofilament tissue, or similar materials and/or horizontal lamella, and essentially vertical lateral guide rails, a supporting frame, and a drive unit. The lateral ends of the inventive hangings or horizontal lamellae are provided with at least one windscreen-type safety device which runs into a locking hook or locking claw no later than the time that the door reaches the half-closed or fully closed position. Said hooks or claws are disposed in the central to bottom portion of the guide rails or supporting frame.
