Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004037077A1] The invention concerns an assembly and a method for positioning an apparatus relative to a patient's eye to be examined on x, y and/or z coordinates. Said ophthalmologic apparatus comprises an adjustable illuminating unit, an observation system, a photographing unit, an output unit, an eye tracker and positioning means. The reproduction system of the eye tracker is provided with at least two adjustable magnifying possibilities. The invention is characterized in that in order to position the apparatus, the eye tracker is used not only to track a measurement mark and/or a reticular structure projected on the eye, but also to sense the position of the patient's eye relative to the optical axis of the ophthalmologic apparatus. The inventive ophthalmologic apparatus enables the entire apparatus to be positioned relative to the eye to be examined, thereby significantly simplifying and accelerating both the examination and the determination of biometric data of the eye.
