[origin: WO2004039513A1] Disclosed is a device for reshaping bar-shaped electrically conductive and/or magnetizable materials particularly for drawing and extruding. Said device has the following characteristics: - the device (1) comprises a matrix (3) with a nozzle (4) which forms the reshaping tool; - the device (1) comprises an inductor (5) of a linear electric motor, by means of which an electric traveling field can be generated; - said inductor (5) encompasses at least one first group (6) that is provided at least with first coils (8); - said first coils (8) of the first group (6) are disposed next to each other in an axial direction so as to form a duct (12); - a traveling field having a magnetic flux density with a gradient that extends in the axial direction of the duct (12) and has an amplitude of more than B = 1 T. The invention also relates to a method for reshaping bar-shaped electrically conductive and/or magnetizable materials.
