Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004041587A1] The invention relates to a child seat (1),which may be fixed to a vehicle seat in a motor vehicle by means of a three-point safety belt (14). It is also possible to connect the child seat to the vehicle chassis by means of an ISOFIX fixing system (17). The three-point safety belt (14) is equipped with a tensioning device. The child seat (1) comprises an independent belt system for securing a child sitting in the child seat. According to the invention, the three-point seat belt (14) is coupled to the belt system of the child seat (1). Said coupling permits a tensioning of the bet system of the child seat (1) on a preventative or crash-active tensioning of the three-point belt system (14), without a separate tensioning system being necessary.
