[origin: WO2004029392A1] The invention relates to an actuator for displaceable vehicle units (1), such as hatchbacks, sliding doors, door latches (1) etc. The basic structure of said actuator comprises an electric motor (2), an adjusting element (8) and a resetting device (3). The electric motor (2) drives the adjusting element (8) counter to the force of the resetting device (3) as far as a stop (9). According to the invention, the electric power (P) which is supplied to the electric motor (2), is reduced to a value (P2) ensuring that the actuator is in a blocking position (8) after an adjustable delay time (T2).
