[origin: WO2004038161A1] The invention relates to a top rail for a blind, comprising a U-shaped cover strip (2), for covering a base rail (1), whereby a bearing for a shaft (8) which serves to operate slats, is provided in the base rail (1), which is coupled at one end thereof to a drive wheel operated by means of a pull device, in particular a bead chain. The invention is characterised in that the drive wheel and a coupling piece connected thereto for rotation are arranged in the cover strip (2). The above can be fixed to the shaft.
