Abstract (en)

Reinforcement for application onto an article at a temperature T3 comprises a discontinous covering of abrasion-resistant material with a softening temperature T2 on the outside of a thermoplastic film with an adhesion temperature T1, where T2 is higher than T1 and T3 is between T1 and T2. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an article comprising a reinforcement as above; (2) applying a reinforcement as above by placing the reinforcement on the part the be reinforced with the thermoplastic film facing this part, applying pressure at the temperature T3, and cooling.

L'invention propose un renfort (15) destiné à être assemblé à chaud à une température θ3, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué d'un film adhésif thermoplastique (1) ayant une température de collage θ1, muni, côté interne, d'une face thermocollante et, côté externe, d'une application discontinue (3a) de matériau (3) résistant à l'abrasion et ayant une température de ramollissement θ2, supérieure à la température de ramollissement θ1 du film thermoplastique. Avantageusement, le film (1) est réalisé à partir d'au moins l'un des polymères suivants : polyuréthane, polyamide, polyester, polyoléfine, polychlorure de vinyle et le matériau (3) résistant à l'abrasion est obtenu à partir d'au moins l'un des polymères suivants : résine époxy, silicone, PUR (polyuréthane réticulé) <IMAGE>
