[origin: EP1557223A1] To treat the surfaces of aluminum castings, especially at internal combustion motors, the outer and inner sides are treated with a high pressure wet blasting, using a mixture of water and salt crystals including at least potassium sulfate. The spray unit (10) for surface blasting has feeds (11,12) for water and salt crystals into a mixing chamber (13) and delivered through a jet (14).
