[origin: EP1415596A1] The pressure meter (5), to be coupled to an ultrasonic measurement head (7), has a housing with a rear window which is transparent to ultrasonic waves. The window (20) is rigid with a maximum thickness of 1 mm and preferably 0.5-0.7 mm, covered at the leading side by a flexible membrane (13) with a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm. The pressure meter (5), to be coupled to an ultrasonic measurement head (7), has a housing with a rear window which is transparent to ultrasonic waves. The window (20) is rigid with a maximum thickness of 1 mm and preferably 0.5-0.7 mm, covered at the leading side by a flexible membrane (13) with a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm. The pressure meter is filled with a liquid (11), containing water and transparent to ultrasonic waves, and preferably a mixture of glycerin and water in a ratio of 85:15. The pressure on the membrane allows measurement of the pressure in the fluid.
