[origin: WO2004041462A1] The invention relates to a cast iron mould comprising two flat walls made of copper which are oppositely arranged to each other. Thin walls which can be cooled and moved with respect to each other with the aid of means for adjusting a width size are arranged between said flat walls in such a way that they are enable to clamp pieces. Said cast iron mould also comprises force means for clamping, in particular a hydraulic cylinder whose strain and/or tension force is adjustable. The cast iron mould is arranged inside a shape-retaining external frame and provided with water reservoirs supporting the copper plates. The inventive improved mould is characterised in that the water reservoir (2n) having solid walls can be displaced by the hydraulic cylinders (3n) which are arranged inside the external frame (1n), and the water reservoir (4n) provided with elastic walls is displaced by hydraulic cylinders (5n) which are arranged inside the mould.
