[origin: WO2004041575A1] The invention relates to a locking device (5) for locking the lid of a tank reservoir of a vehicle which can be opened or closed. The inventive device comprises a locking element (20) for blocking the lid of the tank reservoir in the closed position thereof and a servomotor (19) for displacing said locking element (20) from a locking to blocking position. Said locking device (5) is characterised in that it is embodied in the form of a modular pre-assembled unit which can be fixed on the board of a mounting hole (3) which is arranged in an area (1) of a body and used for receiving the tank reservoir (7). The inventive method for mounting said locking device (5) and an assembly which comprises the locking device and the tank reservoir (7) and arranged in the body are also disclosed.
