[origin: WO2004044398A1] The invention relates to a device for regulating the temperature of a component (3) or a working medium (4, 6, 8) of an internal combustion engine (1). Said device comprises a coolant circuit (16), which has a thermostatic valve (15) for controlling the flow in said circuit and which cools the component (3) or the working medium (4, 6, 8) and a temperature sensor (10, 11, 12, 13), which transmits temperature-related information to the thermostatic valve (15). The temperature sensor (10, 11, 12, 13) is placed directly inside the component (3) and/or the working medium (4, 6, 8). The temperature sensor (10, 11, 12, 13) is mechanic and is mechanically connected in a fixed manner to the thermostatic valve (15).
