[origin: EP1559816A2] The Jacquard-type loom shed former consists of a series of electrical actuators (61, 6k) controlled by a primary computer (C1) and one or more secondary computers (C21, C22. C23) able to control several actuators by means of signals (S'21l - S'23k) representing one or more parameters (K1 - Kk) that are determined by the secondary calculators from one or more signals (S21, S22, S23) received from the first computer and representing other parameters. The secondary computers are offset relative to the primary ones and are located closer to the actuators they control.
