Diffuser (17) comprises a Helmholtz resonator mounted on a housing (19) and having a damping frequency that corresponds to the intrinsic frequency of the diffuser. The Helmholtz resonator is provided in the form of a Helmholtz bottle (23a) and the housing has especially a number of Helmholtz bottles, in the form of an annular, slotted Helmholtz tube extending especially along the periphery of the housing, or in the form of a slit-shaped Helmholtz opening in the housing that extends especially along the housing periphery (27). An independent claim is also included for a turbine comprising the above diffuser.

Zur Vermeidung selbsterregter Schwingungsinstabilitäten bei einer Turbine, insbesondere bei einer Dampfturbine 1 bzw. bei einem Diffusor (17) mit einem Gehäuse (19), das sich in axialer Richtung (21) entlang einer Strömung (M') erstreckt, und das zur Aufweitung der Strömung (M') einen sich in axialer Richtung (21) aufweitenden Strömungskanal (15) umfänglich begrenzt, sieht das neue Konzept vor, dass am Gehäuse (19) ein Helmholtz-Resonator (23a, 23b, 23c) angebracht ist, dessen Dämpfungsfrequenz auf eine Eigenfrequenz des Diffusors (17) abgestimmt ist. <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
