Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004038146A1] Disclosed is a sliding wall comprising several laterally movable wall elements (1, 2) which are guided within a support profile (8) that is disposed above said wall elements (1, 2) by means of trolleys. At least one of the wall elements (1, 2) is embodied as a rotating wing (2) which is actuated by a drive unit (55) that is stationary relative to the movable wall elements (1, 2). The wall elements (1, 2) can be individually displaced in a manual or motorized manner, the individual wall elements (1, 2) being provided with a bottom guiding mechanism (9) which engages within a guide rail (7) that is embedded in the floor. At least the wall element (2) used as a rotating wing is pivotable about a first swivel pin (19, 57) and a second swivel pin (14, 15). Said rotating wing (2) is automatically connected in the bottom area of the wall elements (1, 2) by means of a joining device when abutting such that the rotating wing (2) can be safely swiveled.
