Abstract (en)
The actuator has two polarized electromagnets (18, 26), each with a permanent magnet to maintain a magnetic chuck of a valve when the valve is in closed position in the absence of current in a coil of the electromagnet. A defluxing current opposing the effect of the permanent magnet is applied to the coil of either of the electromagnets to move the valve from open to closed position or inversely. A spring permits switching of the valve. An independent claim is also included for an engine comprising a valve actuator.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'actionnement de soupape comprenant un organe (10) ferromagnétique lié à la soupape et déplaçable selon une course pour laquelle, à une extrémité, la soupape est en position fermée et à une autre extrémité, elle est en position ouverte. La commande du déplacement s'effectue à l'aide d'un premier (18) et d'un second (26) électroaimants et de ressort(s) (36, 38) afin que l'organe (10) soit à proximité du premier électroaimant pour la position fermée et à proximité du second électroaimant pour la position ouverte. Chaque électroaimant comporte un aimant permanent (22, 30) maintenant l'organe (10) à l'extrémité correspondante de sa course en l'absence de courant dans la bobine de l'électroaimant. Pour faire passer la soupape de sa position d'ouverture à sa position de fermeture ou inversement, on applique à la bobine du second ou du premier électroaimant une impulsion de défluxage s'opposant à l'effet de l'aimant permanent, la commutation s'effectuant, après cette impulsion, par la seule action des moyens à ressort.
